Late B-day Zoo trip

Nicole, Sheena, Paul and I got together to go to the Zoo. My B-day was on the 21st so this was somewhat of a late B-day thing and it turned out really fun! I was just trying to have fun this time around and draw some cartoony figures. Below follow some of the sketches and a couple of watercolour drawings I did as well. Hope you guys like it.

Zoo Trip Again!

Hey guys,
Yes, I know... Again?
Well what can I say? Me and Nicole have been getting a good kick out of going to the zoo all the time. Every time we go it is loads of fun. We also feel like we are improving by the minute. Not only that we convinced a friend of ours, Paul, to buy a membership for the Toronto zoo as well!
Another wonderfull thing about being able to go as many times as you want to the zoo is that there is no sense of urgency anymore. We can just take our time and sketch with out that feeling of "got to sketch every animal in the zoo!" or "got to get as many drawings as we can" kind of thing. That makes us more comfortable to just sit and draw a specific animal for longer periods of time which, in my opinion, makes us learn way more about each specific animal.
I was felling adventurous this time around so I tried some fast water color sketching. Hope you guys like the results!

Enjoy!

Back Ground Painting

This is a gouache painting I had to do for my "Painting for Layout" class. It was meant to be a painting made for one of the characters we designed in our "Character Design" class. I`m posting the original painting, the painting with the character added digitally and the character sheet. The Character macabro was designed after the Guará wolfs that have their habitat in southern/central Brazil.

On a separate note; I have been trying to post some videos on youtube so I can link them here on my website (like i did with the pink panther walk and the beast head rotation), but I`m having some codec difficulties. Hopefully I`ll be able to sort this out soon so you guys can see my last couple of animations for the first year of "Animation Principal" class.

For now, I hope you guys enjoy!

Pink Panther in the jungle

This is an assignment for my first year animation digital tools class at Sheridan. We animated the Pink Panther walk first with traditional animation (I posted this a wile ago you can probably see it a bit further down in my blog). After that we imported the still frames and BG (created on Photoshop) to Toom Boom Animate pro were we cleaned up the animation.

Hope you guys like it =D
