more concepts
Posting some more exploration I've been doing for my film. These are some boards I did for a first pass on a story treatment. These characters still might change a lot so don't get to attached to any of them yet.
Also, these boars are not consecutive in anyway, this is are just random boards I chose from a larger sequence of boards.
I hope you guys enjoy it!
Cheers!

Prop and Character Studies.
I'm working away on finding the feel I want for on my film. I have a general idea of what I want it to look like but now I'm getting to work on some details. I'm also trying to start thinking of my characters. I have some thumbnails and studies of women faces. I still have no clue on what she should look like. Im just posting some studies I did for benches and light posts along with some of my favourite women faces I did so far.
Cheers everyone!
Cheers everyone!

And it Begins
Fourth year is finally on! With it start my efforts in to creating my senior animation film project. Not to worry, I have a plan! Through out this year I will be posting most of my preliminary work and process for you guys to follow along and see how my ideas and story develop.
I hope you enjoy the ride as much as I'm sure I will be enjoying it myself! This is a promising year and I could not possibly be more excited about it.
For starters then, I will post my first ever sketch related to my film idea. I will not go into details about the plot, but I will give you guys a bit though: It will be about a conversation between a little boy and a woman who is worried about this child since he seems to be lost. There is a bit of a twist in the end but I will hold that back for now (just for the fun of the mystery).
Enjoy guys!!

Final Summer Moments
For one of our last summer outings me Nic and Paul decided we should go to the zoo. So we did, and what I have here are the few decent drawings that came out of this trip that served me one, and one purpose only: To show how rusty I have become.
Nonetheless I decided I should post these anyways.
I hope I don't scare you guys off!
Enjoy!

Costume Figure Drawing Class
Some more life life drawings I did In class. I don't particularly think these are too strong but since I've been trying to be more constant in my figure drawing posts I thought it would also be interesting if we got to see some of the fluctuation I feel happens between different days. I think it is important to remember that regardless if we are in a bad art day or a good one we always need to keep practicing. In the end, when it comes to our profession, I does not matter if you are in bad day or good day you will still need to create something that is up to standard with what is expected from you. The ability to reduce the difference between good and bad days is what every artist that wants to make a living with their art should be looking for. This ability only comes with practice practice practice, especially on your bad days. Therefore, I fell that posting bad day drawings should make me proud because it means I kept going instead of just saying... I don't feel like doing this today.
I'm sure this is relevant in other aspects of our lives. Maybe my post will help someone =DD
Hope you guys enjoy the drawings and, as aways, thanks for taking your time to check out what I do and for the support!
Enjoy!

Dwarf Celebrating!
So,
This is yet another attempt of mine on rendering some stuff on photoshop. I've worked on this "Happy" Dwarf for a wile. It was suppose to be just a sketch but I ended up putting some more time in to it. I don't think it turned out particularly good but since I put probably about 5 to 6 hours on it at the least I decided to post it. I feel like I still have a hard time with colours and generally, when I render things, my drawings come out with more structural problems then usually.
Regardless of its issues I think it turned out to be a fun peace of work and I did have a really good time making it! I hope everyone likes it too!!
Cheers guys!!!

Sketching on my iPhone
I love the way technology is going some times. I'm at Nicole's mom's house and her brother and I were watching "The Storyteller", episode "The Luck Child" on Netflix when I saw this really pretty scene where a ferryman brings a ferry across this misty lake. It was such a pretty shot I decided to grab my iPhone and sketch the shot on sketch pro. Now I'm posting the image I came up with with my iPhone as well. Hope you guys like the results.

Saruman the "White"?
I watched Lord of the Rings yesterday night and sketched as I was at it. Out of all the little rough doodles, this one came out kind of alright so i decided to post just for fun. Unfortunately, aside from the paper there is nothing white about this Saruman. I used ink and grey markers...
I hope you guys enjoy and don't judge me on the sad attempt of a joke hehehe =]

Life drawing
I haven't posted any of my figure drawing is a wile. I have been trying to experiment with some different medias. Here are some examples of what I have been up to. They vary from pastel to pen and water colour washes, to just water colour or just pen or pen and maker. Hope you guys like it
The three first ones are some pastel images
These are some pen and marker images
The following are water colours
Now some pen and watercolour washes, The paper I was using for the ones down here wasn't the best for washes and you can tell it was bleeding a little.
This last one is just a quick one min. pen drawing

More Practice
Another photoshop painting. I still feel way more comfortable with tones than with colour. I'm sure with practice I'll get there. Mean wile hope you guys like what I've been working on.

Melisandre
This is Melisandre, the red priestess of R'hllor. Another interpretation of a character from "A Song of Ice and Fire" from George R. R. Martin. I might colour it later. For now I hope you guys enjoy!!

The Others
Another character from the books "A Song of Ice and Fire" by George R.R. Martin. This one belongs to the race of the others which is described in the book as tall white figures who walk around without leaving footprints on the snow. They also have thin swords that look like they were made of glass. Until now the book story suggests that these creatures the other (or White walkers I think) are the ones that rase the wights. The distinction between them in the book is not very clear so its hard to know which is which. Anyways I gave it a go.
Hope you guys like it

Frozen zombies??
This is a quick morning sketch I did of a wight from "A Song of Ice and Fire" by George R.R. Martin. I'm quite enjoying the books and thought I give it a go in some fast little concepts for the story.
Hope you guys like it.

Stop Motion Assignment
Hey guys,
I don't particularly like how I did in this assignment. But I think it was a valid attempt for someone that doesn't have a lot of experience with stop motion. Not being able to animate with key frames certainly makes a difference and needs some time to getting used to. This makes animating in stop motion harder in my opinion, but also gives it that organic feel that everybody loves about it.

3D Character animation.
This was an 3D animation assignment.
I used a pre-riged character provided by our teacher and animated the character using a sound media also provided by the assignment.
Its simple and short. But it I though it had some strength so I decided to post.
Hope you guys like it.
