Quick Bank sketch
Part of a layout assignment, this is the establishing shot of the Bank Robbery story I had to board for my second storyboard assignment. I am now creating a rough layout for those boards, but we only need to pick 5 scenes to do the layout and not the entire board.
This quick sketch turned out ok so I decided to post, enjoy!

Red Thought
I was having a bit of a blue evening and Nicole was very patient and actually thought I would feel better if I tried doing some fast art work. She was kind enough to give me some tips on photoshop and I came up with this simple fast sketch.

Painting
This is a rough concept painting I did for school ... I had to paint an interior.
I drew the original with ink, scanned it and then printed the line work on a watercolour paper where I added the color (with whatercolour hehehe).
Enjoy

Lift and Toss
This is another animation assignment for my second year. I only had time to do the key frames. Therefore the animation doesn't look that smooth. But you can still see where I was trying to get with it. Hope you enjoy.

Storyboarding
This is a storyboard I finished for my, surprise surprise, storyboard class. The story was based of a nursery rhyme called "The Leader" from Roger McGough.
Enjoy,

Desert Dwelling
This is a watercolour painting I did for my painting class. I am starting to enjoy watercolour quite a lot. I hope I am also getting better at it. What I have posted here are some tonal and colour concepts, a step by step of how I went about painting the picture and the final result.
Hope you guys like it!

Flour Sack Boat Animation
My first project for my second year at Sheridan is officially done! We were assigned to animate a flour sack in a boat on the sea (with waves). The goal of this assignment was to learn how to represent the transfer of momentum from one object to another. I hope you guys like what I came up with. Enjoy!!

Horses at Sheridan
Hey everyone!
Yesterday Sheridan brought horses for the second year animation students. We had to do some Studies and Choose one of the best of our drawings to hand in. I haven't decided what to hand in yet, but I kind of like this whatercolour I did from one of the horses (there were two horses). I hope you guys like it.

Late B-day Zoo trip
Nicole, Sheena, Paul and I got together to go to the Zoo. My B-day was on the 21st so this was somewhat of a late B-day thing and it turned out really fun! I was just trying to have fun this time around and draw some cartoony figures. Below follow some of the sketches and a couple of watercolour drawings I did as well. Hope you guys like it.

Zoo Trip Again!
Hey guys,
Yes, I know... Again?
Well what can I say? Me and Nicole have been getting a good kick out of going to the zoo all the time. Every time we go it is loads of fun. We also feel like we are improving by the minute. Not only that we convinced a friend of ours, Paul, to buy a membership for the Toronto zoo as well!
Another wonderfull thing about being able to go as many times as you want to the zoo is that there is no sense of urgency anymore. We can just take our time and sketch with out that feeling of "got to sketch every animal in the zoo!" or "got to get as many drawings as we can" kind of thing. That makes us more comfortable to just sit and draw a specific animal for longer periods of time which, in my opinion, makes us learn way more about each specific animal.
I was felling adventurous this time around so I tried some fast water color sketching. Hope you guys like the results!
Enjoy!

Back Ground Painting
This is a gouache painting I had to do for my "Painting for Layout" class. It was meant to be a painting made for one of the characters we designed in our "Character Design" class. I`m posting the original painting, the painting with the character added digitally and the character sheet. The Character macabro was designed after the Guará wolfs that have their habitat in southern/central Brazil.
On a separate note; I have been trying to post some videos on youtube so I can link them here on my website (like i did with the pink panther walk and the beast head rotation), but I`m having some codec difficulties. Hopefully I`ll be able to sort this out soon so you guys can see my last couple of animations for the first year of "Animation Principal" class.
For now, I hope you guys enjoy!

Pink Panther in the jungle
This is an assignment for my first year animation digital tools class at Sheridan. We animated the Pink Panther walk first with traditional animation (I posted this a wile ago you can probably see it a bit further down in my blog). After that we imported the still frames and BG (created on Photoshop) to Toom Boom Animate pro were we cleaned up the animation.
Hope you guys like it =D

Beast Head Rotation
This is the last assignment I did for my animation principles class. We had to choose an animation character and rotate his head and shoulders. The purpose of the assignment was to sync the characters lips to a prerecorded sound ("meow") and create a facial expression change after the model rotation.
I am not very happy with the rotation because I didn't put enough time into it, but I think the sync/expression change looks good!
Let me know what you think!
ENJOY!

Pink panther walk
This is a first year assignment for animation students at Sheridan. We were asked to create a walking cycle of the Pink Panther. We can`t choose what character we want to animate. This is what I was able to do. Hope you guys like it.

Costume Figure Model
I went to costume figure drawing the other night and I gave it a try. It is harder then i expected. Having to guess how the body of the model is set beneath the costume is not easy. I had a hard time and that shows in my drawings. But, still think i could choose a feel of the best ones and post them. Forgive me for the lac of practice and lac of posting. School is been taking up a lot of my time. Hope you guys enjoy.
