Pelvis Studies
Hey everyone!
Today I am posting one of the 4 pelvis drawings I had to do for my Figure Drawing class. It is a 3/4 top view of the pelvis structure. The other 3 drawings were a front, back and side view. I just chose the 3/4 one because it is less boring.
Hope everyone enjoys it!!!
Sorry about the folds on the paper. My scanner is smaller the the paper and I cant cut the paper because I need to hand the work in for the class eventually =]

Feet and Hand Studies
We had to do hands and feet drawings for our figure drawing class. I decided to try and do them in conttte although most people decided to go for pencil drawings. The reason is I still feel like I cant control the contte the way I want and i`m trying to improve that. So, it turned out kind of messy but still worth taking a look at I hope!

Gouaching Again!
Yes! We have to gouache in the Animation Bachelor here at Sheridan. We are working on composition in the beginning of this semester. I had to come up with a Random composition and gouache it (the same composition) in four different paintings. Three gray scales and one monochromatic. I`m just posting the Monochromatic one because it is the most interesting one. Hope you guys like it. I`ll get better at gouaching as the years go by. It is hard! =[

Figure Drawing is BACK!!
This week, we started having extra figure drawing sessions in Sheridan again! I have been attending as much as I can since, in my opinion, it is one of the most important practice for animation students. So here are some of the latest drawings. Enjoy!

Lord of the Rings!
GOD! I LOVE THIS BOOK!
I`m reading it, yet again! I was just making some fast sketches after I read some of the book the other night... I haven't really been posting a lot because most of the drawings I`ve been doing lately are "very" sketchy and not really good material in my opinion. So, I decided that maybe I should show you guys some of the most common things that come up when I grab my pencil and my sketch book. Hope you guys like it! I`ve posted the whole sketch page and a big picture of the Frodo drawing I "cleaned up".

Kart
This is a drawing I did for my dad. Apparently he needed to advertise this go-kart thing they have every month between the coworkers. I did the whole thing on Photoshop. Concept, clean up, everthing digital. No sketch book or pencils for this one. I`m actualy pretty pleased with how it turned out, especialy since it had been a while since the last time I played around with Photoshop. Hope you guys enjoy as well!!

Nic`s World
Another attempt in Watercolour. In this, I was trying to paint a little imaginary spot that my girlfriend, Nicole, has had since she was a child. I started with a little doodle just to plan the drawing
I`m still struggling with the media... I bought some new paper that is supposed to be for watercolour. That might help for future pieces.
Hope you guys like this one!

Inspiring Muse
Nicole was having a hard time coping with her emotions. I decided to put a positive spin on the day by turning her in to my muse and making a "beautiful" portrait of her
Not only that, but I also decided to predict some of her reactions to the brasilian weather since we are both a week away from our trip to brazil (visiting my family). So I used my psychic abilities and this is what I came up with...

design assignment
This is a late assignment i`m going to hand in this wednesday =] I`m catching up with school again now that my portfolio crazyness is over hehe. The idea of this assignment is that I need to make a progressive abstraction of adrawing. I did not place the images in a progrecive order on pourpuse (in case anyone thinks i`m going crazy). I Hope everyone likes it. The center one took me quite a long time to do. It was mostly done on photoshop. I just sketched a lot before I actualy decided to scann one of the good sketches to start working from it.

Dragon, conseptual process and finished art work
This was a 2D design assignment. I wanted to post some of the conceptual process as well as the finished art for this particular painting. It took me a wile to get where I wanted to with the composition. The sketches are all pencil, the colored one is pencil crayons (conceptual process to your right).
The final work was done in gouache and it took me about 4 hours to paint it. I am not very experienced with the media so that is probably why it took me so long. I’ll get the hang of it eventually. I hope you guys enjoy, this was an assignment that took a lot of my time but was also one that I had a really good time doing. I also would like to say that I did this when my mom was visiting and her company made it that much easier for me to get this done! Thanks for being there always MOM (below follows the Final Art work)!!!!!

This is Aila. She is a Character I came up with a little wile ago. I have to say I`ve been having a lot of fun drawing her lately. I think you guys are going to start seeing a lot of her after I`m done with all my portfolio work for sheridan. But, for now, these rough sketches will have to do. Hope you guys like her! Thanks for checking my blog, as always =]
